Bye Bye See Ya
We're off tomorrow morning. I'm packed, the girls are packed, John is packing. We are not looking forward to the plane trip with the monkeys. I talked to the pharmacist yesterday and he suggested a half dose of gravol to settle them down. I think we're going to do it. Whatever happens it will be memorable. The girls were 19 months on Saturday. I think I'm done with the monthly update (for this month anyway - too busy). Instead I'll just highlight some of the things they did this month... - Emma can now run and climb up on all our furniture. She is starting to show an interest in walking up the stairs rather than crawling. Leah is still quick walking and can only climb on the leather couch. They are fearless when they are on the couch and we have saved them from some nasty tumbles. It's scary. -They are learning new words everyday. Their latest is more. It was a very frustrating word at first because they just repeated it over and over again and got frustrated when you didn't bring them what they wanted. They are starting to understand that they have to tell us what they want and are putting it together with what they want. More pasta is their favourite. They love rotini. They also understand help and hot which has proven quite useful. They also say beep beep when they want you to move. -They are eating much better. Their appetites have increased a lot. They still love bread, cheese, yogurt, chicken and pasta. Emma is much more willing to try new things. Leah still throws it on the floor without even trying it. -They are sleeping much better. We had some bedtime issues over the holidays but they are back on track. We stil have some night wakings but it seems that they are more night terrors than them just waking up for the fun of it. -They are really starting to enjoy each other. They'll share their toys and have been known to randomly start kissing and hugging each other. They will sit together and build thing with their blocks or climb up in a chair and read a book together. They like to chase each other and sometimes the squeals of laughter are so loud it's piercing. I really hope they always get along - wishful thinking I know.
