Happy Birthday Girls!

I'm going to defer the big update til tomorrow night We've had a busy day, I'm tired and it's HOT HOT HOT upstairs where the computer is. I think the girls had a good birthday. Leah was up bright and early so we got to sing her happy birthday at 7:24am. Emma was napping at 9:30am. Little bugger John was at work today but we drove him to the GO station so we could have the car. We went to Canadian Tire and for the very first time my stroller did no fit through the cash register. I don't know if I tried hard enough though (I had quite the audience) because our stroller is the same width as a wheelchair and I have a hard time believing that Canadian Tire doesn't meet the handicap requirements. After Canadian Tire we went and got a new gate. The one we got was missing screws so we are still using our bench to keep them off the stairs. Our final stop was Costco to get some pictures I had developed for an album of their first year. They are much better quality than Walmart. I know going three places doesn't sound like much but it's about the limit the girls will take of getting in and out of the car and stroller/shopping cart. We came home and they had a good nap while I put their album together. Tonight John and I got them little carrot cakes with cream cheese icing. It was a nice sunny night so we sat them out front so they could make a big mess. The candles wouldn't light in the breeze and I'm going to have to get sparklers for their party on Saturday. They both enjoyed the cake and after they were done we gave them their absolute favourite. You're never going to guess what it is....ice cubes. My mom started them on them and they love licking them. We always take them away when they get too small so don't worry! Here are some pics. There are a lot but it's their birthday so I have an excuse!
